Excellence in Environmental Practise

This award recognises excellence in the seafood industry in regard to actions by individuals or organisations that promote the ecological sustainability of the industry.

Nominees must be active participants in the commercial seafood industry. 

A nomination can be made where an individual, company or agency whether alone or in collaboration with others has:
• created or developed an item or a process that lessens the impact of the seafood industry (catching or processing) on the environment; OR
• created or developed an item or a process that enhances the ecological sustainability of the seafood industry; OR
• taken sustained or significant action to improve the state of waterways and thus improve their ability to support natural fish populations; OR
• actively facilitated moves within the seafood industry towards sustainable environmental management with the promotion of these changes within the industry and to the broader community.

 

All submissions for this award must include a nomination form and a report that outlines your case against each judging criteria.

Nominations close

One nomination form and four hard copies of each written report must be received by 9am Monday, 2 February 2009. It is suggested that additional supportng material such as photos, reports, marketing material or any other relevant supporting documentation that you see fit to complement your claim against the judging criteria be included in your submission.
